Colorado Rapids vs FC Dallas

Colorado RapidsFC DallasColorado Rapids and Dallas met on June 24, and that match finished 1-1. While Dallas played only one match since than, and managed to beat New York 2-1, Colorado on the other hand played twice and lost both their games. They were beaten 0-3 at Seattle, while they also suffered defeat at home on 4th July, against Chicago.

Team news

Colorado Rapids are free of injuries for this match, but they will have to do without Colin Clark and Omar Cummings, who are both on international duty, and Cory Gibbs is suspended. Both Clark and Cummings are important players for Rapids, and are leading assistants in the team, so their absence might be a blow for home side.

FC Dallas are missing Peri Marosevic, Marcelo Saragosa and Alvaro Sanches through injuries, while Steve Purdy and Daniel Torres are doubtful. Kenny Cooper is on international duty and his absence will be a major blow, as he's club's leading scorer so far with 7 goals. Jeff Cunningham took his chances in Cooper's absence though, and scored twice in victory against New York Red Bulls.

Betting verdict

Dallas are still far away from play-off spots, but main reason for their poor position in the standings is their poor start of the season. They lost six out of seven opening games, but they are one of form teams at the moment in MLS. They were beaten only by overall leaders Houston in last six games, and if they can repeat their performance from last few games, they are surely not without chances in this match.

Dallas' road record is nor convincing, but I think they can take something from this game at Colorado. Pinnacle Sports offer 4.80 for away win in this match, and this price looks worth a shot. Also, after two goals in last match, Jeff Cunningham to score first @10.00 looks like good bet too

Dallas to win @4.80 Pinnacle Sports, stake 3/10
