StokeWiganWith decent run of results in last couple of weeks Stoke secured another season in English Premier League, which was definitely confirmed by their last week’s victory at Hull.

They were unfortunate to lose their recent games at Fulham, and especially at home against West Ham, but they performed quite well against weaker sides and relegation candidates they faced lately, which is the main reason why they will finish high above relegation zone at the end of this season.

Wigan secured their Premiership status long time ago, and it seems that the squad is already on vacation. They are without win in last 6 games, and all they managed in that period was scoreless draw at home against Bolton. They scored only 3 goals in last 6 games, allowing 15, and are rock bottom of the current form table. It should be mentioned though that Wigan frustrated champions Manchester United in midweek, and they lost that match in injury time, after being one goal up.

Team news

Stoke manager Tony Pulis probably won’t make any changes to his side after win at Hull, and his only absentee is on-loan striker Henry Camara, who is ineligible to play against his parent club.

Wigan will be without keeper Chris Kirkland again, with Richard Kingson inside the posts.

Betting verdict

Britannia Stadium was real fortress this season and not many sides managed to pick all points against Stoke there. In 18 home games this season Stoke lost only 4 and with 5 draws and 9 wins they were one of the strongest home teams in English Premier League.

Being their last home match of the season, I expect Potters to take this match and I find huge value in these odds.
